The child can turn the box sideways, up, or down, or even squash it and make an endless list of things. How about a quick crawl into the box or build a "house" with the box? The opportunities for play go on and on. Such activities promote problem solving and socialization, they noted. Can one expect the same versatility from all toys? Will a very expensive toy always deliver the same imaginative play? Perhaps not.
