Study Finds High Dose Vitamin D Supplements Have no Benefit in Preventing or Treating COVID-19

experts have suggested several preventive and therapeutic medications including zinc supplements, vitamin c supplements, and more recently, vitamin D supplements.

How effective is vitamin D by itself?  A new study has refuted claims that vitamin D is effective in preventing and treating COVID-19. The study, which was done by scientists from Europe, USA, and the UK, investigated available evidence supporting the claim and found no link between high-dose vitamin D supplementation and prevention of COVID-19.

Although previous studies had reported a link between low vitamin D levels and an increased risk of respiratory tract infections, the researchers in this particular study did not find a firm link between vitamin D intake and risk of respiratory tract infections.
